Web Entrepreneur Bradford Stanley Reinforces "Urgency to be Prepared" in Wake of Wildfire and Hurricane Seasons

SANTA MONICA, CA- August 22, 2011- DocuHome Home Inventory Solutions will offer FREE home inventory software, a $69 value, during the month of September honoring National Disaster Preparedness Month. National Preparedness Month is about preparing communities for disasters and no one knows better than disaster preparedness expert and DocuHome CEO Bradford Stanley. Stanley launched DocuHome Home Inventory Solutions in 2010 after losing his Malibu home in the 2007 wildfires. "It seems like just yesterday that I lost my Malibu home to the Coral Canyon wildfires. The lessons that I've learned from that terrifying day was just how UNPREPARED we were for the devastating loss, how under insured we were and how frustratingly difficult it is to itemize our assets and calculate the value of our loss for insurance purposes and replacement. We have shaped DocuHome's mission to help people everywhere prepare for the worst, whenever it may come." While the Stanley family wasn't so lucky to keep their home intact after the Corral Canyon wildfires, he now firmly believes his web start-up will keep others from reliving their same harrowing fate.

DocuHome Home Inventory Solutions is a web-based application that allows homeowners to keep a personal inventory of their belongings in the case of a natural disaster, making the rebuilding process as easy and pain free as possible. A user's inventory can be accessed from any computer, truly making their home inventory indestructible. Users upload photos of their property, photo-tag their belongings, and then are able to enter a description and include the purchase price of every item so that if disaster strikes, they can effectively use their digital inventory to make a sound insurance claim.

Many homeowners will face similar tragic circumstances in 2011. FEMA reported there were an estimated 1.6 million fires with direct property loss due to the fires estimated at $14.6 billion. Stanley transformed his personal tragedy into the innovative DocuHome program which will allow homeowners everywhere to be prepared for any unseen disaster looming on the not-too-distant horizon.

"If a loss should occur, a DocuHome home inventory can make the difference between an inadequate restoration of your home and its furnishing and recovering all that is rightfully yours from your insurance policy" says Stanley. He continues, "The most recent tragedy of the ravaging wildfires in Los Alamos cannot be understated, as thousands of homeowners saw the frailty of their homes and possessions. Now, more than ever, it is crucial for homeowners in disaster-prone areas to be prepared for any future devastating events."

To help residents in the disaster regions region, Stanley is offering a FREE annual subscription of DocuHome's home Inventory software, a savings of $69 per year. "It is important to for these victims to realize that even though a natural disaster may destroy your homes, it doesn't destroy your lives as well."
